...Nancy Cohen’s text is repetitive and easy to understand, it is also very thoughtful and reveals great insight into the lives of babies. Toddlers, as well as their baby siblings, will appreciate the simple words and the short sentences. Since the word “ babies" is repeated at the beginning of many sentences, toddlers may be able to echo the words and phrases in this text after a few readings. They will be able to “read" the board book for themselves!
Highly recommended

Nancy Cohen’s delightful rhyming text is very simple but not simplistic. It’s a fun read with rhythms and beats, and the fluency of a rat-a-tat on a drum or the flapping spokes of a bicycle wheel.
Baby in a stroller, going for a walk
Baby making friends, when Mommy stops to talk.
And Carmen Mok’s cheerful illustrations of round-faced kids waving, reading (OK, looking at pictures), sleeping and holding toys are serene and bright without being silly or puerile. It’s a wonderful combination of text and art that I believe will be appreciated by more than the ages 0-2 set designated and their families.
CanLit For Little Canadians
If you’re a small child, particularly a child in a very adult world, you may well want to see yourself as part of the world you live in, and a book like this is a great way to do that. It just tells you that you belong: you belong in the grocery store, you belong on the street, you belong in the café, you belong in the town! …..The pictures are a perfect accompaniment, showing babies from tiny little ones to toddlers, babies in carriers, strollers, cars, bikes, etc. Boys or girls of any race should be able to find themselves and their families in here. It’s a lovely mirror of the text: we live in a world that includes babies, all babies– oh look, here you are, too!
